Among the Wildflowers
The owl, a mysterious and captivating visitor, has long been associated with wisdom, intuition and quiet observation. Among the Wildflowers draws inspiration from the ghostly presence of an owl that has visited my garden in the early hours. There is something magical about seeing this elusive creature as the day begins to fade, a fleeting moment that feels both wild and peaceful.
Initially created using graphite, the illustration captures the delicate detail and character of the owl. It has then been digitally developed, combining organic botanical forms with refined textures to create a contemporary finish.
Each print is hand finished with carefully applied foil, adding a warm golden glow. The subtle shimmer reflects the soft light of sunset - the time of day that comes to mind whenever I think of these enchanting garden visitors.
